BlogMas 2019 Day Three - Integument

Hello.

I detest change, I'm not one to deal with it. That is, however, not to say that I don't appreciate anything new. But, routine things changing in my life are the kind of happenstances that don't let me sleep too well at night.
I was a walking manual. Until a point in life, my DNA was veritably rubric-coded. I reckon I was so, because I couldn't stand to be in grey areas as far as answers were concerned. I did it so that if anyone would point a finger, I could break it by hurling the book at it. But, the past few years away from home taught me how asinine I was being, not being ridiculous in life, at all.

Yesterday, I spoke about how our minds are antidotal. It taught me to enjoy my own rurality. And, to not take myself as a grave matter, either. It became easier to know that it was acceptable to perpetually not have a ten-on-ten answer. A nine-on-ten also works just fine (joking).

The past few years, I can't seem to recall the number of times I've thrown caution to the wind and been absolutely outlandish. I did so in the dire need of replacing the urgency to have all those rejoinders. But, my mind feels a bit more weightless now than it ever used to. And through all the new people I met, I fathomed why I, though involuntarily and stingily, shed that skin off of me. It gave me room. I, now had more legroom - for more people, things, books, work. And, yes, it was still a discomfited, and an edgy phase for me, for I deviated too much from who I essentially was.

But, that margin of refraction also made me yield to the varied kinds of companionships I was getting adept at harbouring, and dealing with. The opinion that people constantly change is coloured one; and also a poor one at that. And, if there aren't the needed fragments of you being left behind in a trail of explicit and rich tales, check again. You're probably losing the erring ones.
